Pittsburgh police homicide detectives are investigating a Jan. 9 shooting inside a home in the 7300 block of Susquehanna Street that claimed the life of a 16-year-old male.
At approximately 7:40 p.m. Zone 5 police officers responded to a Shot Spotter notification in the area of the 7300 block of Susquehanna Street, where they discovered the teen suffering from a gunshot wound in critical condition, police said.
Pittsburgh paramedics transported him to a local hospital where he later died.
Homicide detectives received reports that there was gunfire inside and outside the home.
Police were able to recover multiple shell casings from both inside and outside the residence.
Police also reported that while there were other people inside the house at the time of the shooting, there were no other reported injuries.
There have been no arrests in the case.
