Authorities arrested a man Friday who was wanted in connection with two shootings last month at a North Braddock convenience store.
Courde “Dae-Dae” Daye, 20, of Swissvale, was arrested by the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Fugitive Squad on two arrest warrants for the Nov. 19 and 20 shootings at Fe’s Market at 621 Jones Avenue. Court documents allege that Daye shot two men during the robberies.
Police said Daye entered the store on Nov. 19 armed with a pistol and robbed and shot a man in the leg before fleeing the store. The second shooting occurred the next day, when Daye entered the store armed with a rifle, robbeqd the clerk and shot an elderly man in the back before fleeing the store.
Both victims are recovering and Daye is facing multiple charges of aggravated assault, robbery, attempted homicide, and firearms violations.
Early this morning detectives tracked Daye to a residence in the 1800 block of West Street in Munhall and found him hiding inside the residence, where he was taken into custody without incident. Authorities also found a loaded firearm in a bathtub inside the residence, and Daye will face additional firearms charges, according to police.
