Pennsylvania State Police have charged an Armstrong County man with sending friends videos and pictures that he recorded while having sex with a teenage girl without her knowledge.
Tanner Stennett, 19, of West Franklin, faces 31 charges of sexual abuse of children and criminal use of a communication facility, according to court records.
Police alleged in a criminal complaint that Stennett began dating the teen in March 2016 when she was 16. Up until September 2017, when the couple broke up, police said Stennett recorded himself having sex with the girl and also took numerous photos of her without her knowledge.
Beginning in March, Stennett began sending the videos and photos in an attempt to harass her after he discovered she was dating someone else. Stennett allegedly sent some of the images and videos to the teen’s current boyfriend.
Some of Stennett’s friends were able to delete the recordings from at least one of his devices, but Stennett continued to tell others that he still possessed additional videos and photos.
State police said they recovered numerous photos and videos of the teen on several of his phones, and on one of Stennett’s cloud storage accounts.
He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 21, and is currently free on bond.
