On Friday Pittsburgh police narcotic detectives and SWAT Team served two search warrants in the East End and recovered two handguns and large amounts of heroin and a white powder that tested positive for fentanyl.
In the first search, police recovered approximately 250 stamp bags of heroin, a .32 caliber revolver, a .22 caliber pistol, and drug packaging materials when they served a search warrant in the 5000 block of Columbo Street.
Arrested at the residence were Omri Johnson 24, and Dameon Arrington 25. According to online court records both Johnson and Arrington are facing charges of conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and other drug related offenses. After being processed both men were released from the Allegheny County Jail.
When detectives searched the second residence located in the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue, they found a large amount of white powder, a pill press, and drug packaging materials. The powder tested positive for both heroin and fentanyl.
A special team was called in to safely remove the powder because of the danger that fentanyl poses. No arrests were reported.
