Pittsburgh homicide detectives are investigating two overnight shootings that occured in the Lincoln-Lemington and Homewood sections, that claimed a woman’s life and left a man hospitalized in critical condition.
At approximately 5:33 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 1500 block of Lincoln Avenue for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers observed a deceased female inside a parked silver SUV. The body of the unidentified woman was transported to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office.
Her identity or exact cause of death have not been released and detectives continue to investigate the shooting.
A 2 a.m. shooting at the intersection of Brushton Avenue and Franktown Road left a man in the hospital in critical condition.
Police were called to the location by a shot spotter notification and found the unidentified man lying in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police have not made any arrests in the shootings and are asking that anyone with formation concerning the shootings to call Homicide detectives at 412-323-7800.
