Police say a shooting that occurred at approximately 12:50 p.m. Wednesday has left one person dead.
Pittsburgh Police and homicide detectives responded to a report of a person shot at the intersection of Marland Street and Brownsville Road and found a male lying on the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Police say witnesses reported that the victim was involved in an altercation prior to the shooting.
The unidentified male victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation.
